Contact Me
Don’t you hate when you contact someone, and you are greeted by an automated menu or the person’s receptionist? Me too. I answer all my own phone calls and emails. There is no middle man.
Contact me for a free 60-minute consultation
Looking for help but not sure what kind of help you need? Not sure if I am the right person? No problem! One purpose of the consultation is for me to get a sense of what is going on for you so that I can recommend what services are likely to be most beneficial, saving you time and money. There is absolutely no obligation to continue with me after the consultation.
On the other hand, maybe you know exactly what you need. In that case, the consultation is our opportunity to get to know each other so that we can determine whether I am a good fit for you. Finding the right psychologist is a bit like shopping for a new pair of shoes. You would not purchase shoes without trying them on first, so why would you pay for a service before you know whether the person providing it is a good match?
Consultations are up to 60-minutes in length and occur remotely via a secure videoconferencing platform. If you were referred to me by another healthcare professional for an assessment, depending on the nature and purpose of the referral, we may not complete a consult (or it might be shorter and occur over the phone). If you are looking for a forensic assessment, the consultation is provided to your lawyer.
It can be intimidating to reach out for help. I have outlined the entire process below.
-
Connect with me
There are three ways to schedule an appointment:
1) Call me
2) Email me
3) Book an appointment directly through the client portal by selecting an available timeslot. (Note that you will need to make an account if you choose this method.)
-
Sign the consent forms
You will receive two emails from me. One email contains links to the consent forms. The second email contains the link to your appointment.
-
Attend the consult
Five minutes before your consult, click on the link I sent you. This will bring you to the waiting room. This is your opportunity to tell me anything that you feel is important for me to know. I do not have a prescribed list of questions I ask, so you will never feel like I am trying to rush through a checklist before time runs out. My only goal is to understand you and hear your story. If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry. I will help you get the ball rolling, and we’ll figure out what is most important to discuss together.
-
Make a decision (or don't!)
At the end of the consult, I will provide you with my recommendations, and you can let me know how you would like to proceed (or not). Please note that I do not provide opinions regarding mental health diagnoses based on a consult. If we decide that we are not a good fit, I will do my best to find someone who can support you.
